Sermon: Romans 16:17-18, Smooth Talk & Flattery
Main Point: Continually identify and avoid false teachers!
I. False teachers are out there, so Identify them – 16:17a.
II. False teachers are out there, so Avoid them – 16:17b-18.

Application
1) Study the truth so that false teachers stick out.
“It is neglect of the Bible which makes so many a prey to the first false teacher whom they hear.” – J.C. Ryle
2) Then, use the truth to identify those who teach doctrine that is out of accord with what you have been taught.
3) Avoid false teaching at all costs!
