Leadership

Pastors

The biblical qualifications for pastors are found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Pastors (also called elders and overseers in Scripture) are responsible to know, lead, feed, protect, and care for God’s flock, the church.

Jeff Duncan

By God’s grace, Jeff is the founding pastor of Grace Church, and he serves as the primary preaching pastor. He graduated from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2009, and has been serving in Grace Church since 2011. He is blessed to have been married to Cindy since 1987, soon after they both came to Christ. Jeff is passionate about seeing people transformed by the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ. Therefore, he is committed to faithfully preaching the Word of God with Christ at the center.

Deacons

The biblical qualifications for deacons are found in “1 Timothy 3:8-13” . You can also find the beginning of the New Testament office of deacon in Acts 6:1-7. Deacons serve the church and the elders by taking on many of the administrative details of the church so that the elders can primarily stay focused on shepherding the church through faithful leading, teaching, and prayer, all according to God’s Word.

Andrew Wilwerding

In gratefulness for God’s grace towards him in Jesus Christ, Andrew seeks to honor God in his family, church, and profession. He and Julibeth have been married since 2017 and have one daughter (Bellamy) and one son on the way. His passion is to see Grace Church built up in faith and love and aims to facilitate this in his capacity as deacon. Andrew served in the Marine Corps for four and half years and now works as mechanical engineer in support of Navy and Marine aviation.
