The biblical qualifications for pastors are found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Pastors (also called elders and overseers in Scripture) are responsible to know, lead, feed, protect, and care for God’s flock, the church.
Jeff and Cindy Duncan

Jeff Duncan

By God’s grace, Jeff is the founding pastor of Grace Church, and he serves as the primary preaching pastor. He graduated from Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2009, and has been serving in Grace Church since 2011. He is blessed to have been married to Cindy since 1987, soon after they both came to Christ. Jeff is passionate about seeing people transformed by the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ. Therefore, he is committed to faithfully preaching the Word of God with Christ at the center.

Mike and Jan D'Andrea

Mike D'Andrea

Michael D’Andrea has been married to his wife Janice for over 38 years. They are blessed with four children, eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. He retired from the Marines in 1989, and he also recently retired from a second career as a corporate executive. Mike has a passion for God’s Word and His people, with a deep desire to see Grace Church and our surrounding communities know and grow in the word of God. He also desires to see Grace Church grow as a house of prayer as God’s word goes forth into our community.

Corey Riggs and Family

Corey Riggs

Corey, pictured with his wife, Renee’, and children, Evangel and Haddon, was installed as an elder in 2020 after completing his seminary studies at Southern seminary in Louisville, KY. In addition to serving Grace Church as a pastor, he also serves the military community as a mortgage advisor for a longstanding not-for-profit association for service members. His passion is for the biblical gospel to be comprehended, cherished, and proclaimed from Swansboro, NC to the ends of the earth.

Sam and Mallori

Samuel Morris

Sam, pictured with his wife, Mallori, and their son, Luke, is an attorney in eastern North Carolina and was installed as an elder in 2020.  In 2018, after living in Raleigh for five years, the two moved back to their home county to be closer to family.  The Lord has blessed them with two children, Luke (2) and Lydia (who preceded them into glory).  He and his wife have a deep love for the Christ of Scripture, His church, and the reformed faith. 

The Doblers

Brian Dobler

Brian, pictured with Kellie, his wife since 1997, and two daughters, Leah and Abbie, was installed as an elder in 2022. Brian has a passion for the creation-gospel message and seeing other followers of Christ living on mission with Jesus — spreading the Good News to the lost and broken and defending the truth and authority of God’s holy Word. In addition to serving as an elder of Grace Church, he serves as the marketing director at a logistics technology company.

Deacons

The biblical qualifications for deacons are found in “1 Timothy 3:8-13” . You can also find the beginning of the New Testament office of deacon in Acts 6:1-7. Deacons serve the church and the elders by taking on many of the administrative details of the church so that the elders can primarily stay focused on shepherding the church through faithful leading, teaching, and prayer, all according to God’s Word.

Andrew Wilwerding and Family

Andrew Wilwerding

In gratefulness for God’s grace towards him in Jesus Christ, Andrew seeks to honor God in his family, church, and profession. He and Julibeth have been married since 2017 and have one daughter (Bellamy) and one son on the way. His passion is to see Grace Church built up in faith and love and aims to facilitate this in his capacity as deacon. Andrew served in the Marine Corps for four and half years and now works as mechanical engineer in support of Navy and Marine aviation.

Fleming Family

Jordan Fleming

The Flemings began attending Grace Church in 2015. From Jordan: “God has given us four children starting with Jordan Jr., Naomi, Noah, and Rayna. Rachael and I desire to serve and glorify the Lord and shine the light of Christ through all we do. We pray that the Lord will continue to use us within the service to the body.”

Anthony and Terry Herman

Anthony Herman

Anthony is pictured with his wife, Terri. The two have been married since 1981 and have two children, Leslie and Mack, as well as four grandchildren. They have attended Grace Church since 2016, when they moved to the area to be closer to their grandchildren. Anthony enjoys serving the Lord using his talents to care for the church. He currently heads up the cleaning and maintenance of the church, is a member of the music team, and serves those in need within the church family and community. He also works at MCAS Cherry Point.

Trent Bledsoe

Trent has been married to his wife, Suzanne, for almost 18 years. They are blessed with two children, Luke (12) and Maelyn 10. Trent was raised in Jacksonville, NC and also has roots in Swansboro NC. After living in York County SC for nearly 14 years, the Bledsoe’s moved back to Onslow County and now live in the Bear Creek area. Trent and his family share a great passion for worshiping the Lord through songs of praise and seeking to know Him more through His Word. Trent was installed as deacon on March 13, 2022 and currently serves by leading the music team of Grace Church.

Andrew Myers and Family

Andrew Myers

Andrew has been married to his wife, Leslie, since 2011. They have been blessed to attend Grace Church since 2015 and Andrew has served as a Deacon since 2020. The Lord has given them four children – Lynnlee (6), Paul (5), Liesel (3) and Philip (1). Andrew serves Grace Church through his time and talents – leading the tech team, serving those in need, and in assisting with disaster relief activities. He is enthusiastic about the systematic preaching of the Word and is happy to be able to share the teaching from Grace Church on the livestream and church website. He is a mechanical engineer working at MCAS Cherry Point.
